Get Paid to Record Videos for AI: Platforms and Setup
Some AI projects pay contributors to record real actions, such as handling objects or completing a household task. The footage can help researchers study how people interact with the physical world. Recording for these projects requires following a brief. A visually attractive clip may be unusable if it has the wrong viewpoint, misses part of the action or fails a technical requirement.

A recording checklist that can save wasted time
Read the entire brief before you press record.
Confirm the required app, camera, mounting position and orientation.
Check that your hands and the relevant objects remain visible.
Remove personal documents and avoid recording other people without the required permission.
Make a short test when the workflow allows it.
Follow the original-file and upload requirements. Do not add music, filters or cuts unless requested.
Can you upload the same video to several platforms?
Do not assume that you can. First check whether the assignment requires new footage, in-app recording, exclusivity or particular licensing rights. A file made for one brief may also fail another platform’s technical requirements.
Existing footage licensing is a separate question from completing a new recording assignment. The fact that you own a camera does not mean every recording qualifies for every project.
How to decide whether a video task is worthwhile
Include setup, recording, retries, upload and administration in your time estimate. A hypothetical 20-minute recording might take an hour of total effort. Calculate your return using what is actually approved and paid.
Do I need followers?
These examples concern data contribution. They are different from influencer sponsorships. Follow the contributor criteria rather than assuming social-media reach is required.
Can I use any camera?
No. The brief controls the device and setup. Atlas Capture’s current listing is a concrete example of a specific equipment requirement.
